The Algarve:

The clean sandy beaches, affordability and friendly weather conditions make the Algarve region a leading holiday destination for visitors to Portugal. Algarve is a southern administrative region in mainland Portugal off the North Atlantic. The region’s capital is the City of Faro.

Beaches in Algarve: the region’s beaches are popular for relaxing and sporting activities such as water skiing, sailing, diving, jet skiing, swimming and surfing. Many popular beaches also include pubs, restaurants and cafes. Beaches at Algarve include; Arrifana, Albufeira, Carvoeiro, Praia da Luz, Meia Praia, Ilha de Tavira.


Golf holidays: in recent years, a number of golf courses have been developed in the region making it popular for golfing vacations.
As a major tourism region, there are a few good hotels and resorts in Algarve. There are also holiday villas and apartments.

Faro International Airport: most visitors to Algarve arrive via this airport situated near the town of Faro. A frequent bus service and taxis provide transport to and from the airport. The airport receives flights from major European Cities and a number of Portuguese Cities.
