Ankara:
Ankara is the Capital City of Turkey and the
2nd largest city in the Country after Istanbul. The City is
situated within the province of the same name. Ankara’s
long history and rich culture means that while at present being
a modern city, there are a good number of cultural attractions
to be found here.
The city is also home to a number of curio stalls
and markets selling a variety of handmade craft items.
Transport in Ankara: a modern city, transport
here consists of subway and buses. The City is also served
by the Esenboga International Airport located about 27 km from
the City Centre. The airport is one of the main hubs for local
airline Turkish Airlines.

Interesting places to visit in Ankara include;
Hattusha: an historical site
where a number of impressive archaeological findings have taken
place. Hattusha is the site of an ancient city which was in
existence more than a millennium ago.
Other interesting sights in the city are; The
State Art & Sculpture Museum and the botanical garden.
