Barcelona Beaches:

The beaches in Barcelona are a popular tourist attraction for visitors to the City. They not only offer a retreat from the busy inner city life, but also a source for entertainment and recreation. Many of the City’s beaches are lined with pubs, restaurants and quality hotels.

The beaches are visited for relaxation and become increasingly popular during the warm summer months. Common sporting activities include; kayaking, windsurfing and swimming. Popular beaches are; Bogatell, Barceloneta, Sitges, Nova Icaria and Mar Bella.

Barceloneta: a popular beach near the City, Barceloneta gets easily crowded during summer and is lined with a number of restaurants and pubs. The beach is reachable from the City centre by the metro service stopping at the Barceloneta station.

Icaria: another popular beach, Icaria is reachable using the metro service. The beach has a number of good restaurants and pubs.

Mar Bella: a popular beach for nudists, the Mar Bella is also accessible to the general public.
