The
2nd largest City in Norway, Bergen is an historic City believed
to have been established approximately in 1070 A.D by King Olav
III as evidenced by documented findings. Bergen was then the Capital
of Norway and today its historic sector is a world heritage site.
The City is home to a number of educational institutions such as
the University of Bergen and the Norwegian School of Economics
and Business Administration.

The Bergen Aquarium: home to
a large population of marine wildlife including; otters, seals,
turtles, snakes and crocodiles.
The Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf: here you will find a collection
of fascinating wooden houses right on the harbour; one of the
town’s world heritage
listed areas.
Bryggen’s museum: this
museum houses a collection of archaeological findings made
within the City.
The Bergen International Airport: this airport is situated about 20
km from the City and handles domestic and international flights to a number
of European Cities.
