Bratislava:

The Capital City of Slovakia, Bratislava is situated within a region of the same name. The city is located along the banks of the Danube River in the southwest of the Country. Bratislava is an historical city said to have been founded prior to the 10th Century as a permanent settlement. The City is one of the feature attractions for visitors to Slovakia and boasts a number of interesting sights including historic buildings, theatres and museums.

Transport in Bratislava: with a good road and rail network linking the City to other parts of the Country, transport within Bratislava consists of tram, trolleybuses and buses.

The M. R. Stefanik International Airport: the key airport serving Slovakia, the Bratislava Airport is situated about 9 km to the north-east of the City. The airport is the main operating hub for budget airline; SkyEurope.

Places to Visit:

The Bratislava Castle: situated on a secluded rocky hill overlooking the City, the Bratislava Castle is one of the feature attractions for visitors to the City. The Castle complex’s construction began in the 13th Century and within it you will find a number of interesting buildings such as the Crown Tower, churches and also the Slovak National Museum.

Other interesting sights in the City are; the old town area which features; the Museum of Wine Production, Mirbach Palace and Primate’s Palace.
