Brussels
is the Capital City of Belgium and has been described by many as
the unofficial capital of Europe. The City is also the headquarters
of the European Union and NATO. It is also a major center for commerce
and finance in the Country and the continent being the headquarters
for a number of major international firms. The City has a long
history dating back to the 10th Century. Brussels was also the
scene of the Belgian Revolution of 1830 which led to the establishment
of an independent Belgian Kingdom.

The Atomium:
This is one of Belgium’s most prominent
landmarks and a major attraction for visitors to Brussels.
The Atomium was opened in 1958 and was built specifically for
the World Fair. Its design was based on that of an iron crystal’s
atomic structure.
Autoworld Museum:
This museum has an impressive collection of over
400 automobiles dating between 1886 and the 1970s. The Museum
is situated in the Parc du Cinquantenaire where you will also
find the Palais du Cinquantenaire.
Mini Europe:
Situated at the foot of the Atomium occupying
a small park area, Mini Europe is an impressive display of
miniature craft creations of major landmarks of major cities
in Europe.
