Also
known as the Kastrup International Airport, the Copenhagen Airport
is the busiest airport in the Country catering for well over 16
million passengers annually. The airport caters for domestic and
international flights from major cities in Europe, Asia and the
Middle East. Kastrup has won a number of international accolades
being regarded as one of the best airports in the world. Opened
in 1925, the airport is situated about 9 km from the Copenhagen
City Centre.
Kastrup has three passenger terminals with terminal 1 catering
for domestic flights and terminal 2 & 3 for international
flights. It also has three cargo terminals.
Facilities:
Opened in 2001, the Hilton Hotel was a welcome addition to this
already impressive airport. The hotel is situated within the
airport and is easily accessible from the airport. Other facilities
and services at Kastrup are; internet access, business and conferencing
rooms, information desks, duty free shops, child play areas,
gift stores, foreign exchange and banking services.

Major airlines operating from the airport are; Swiss Air, Scandinavian
Airlines, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, British Airways, Alitalia,
KLM, Aeroflot, Air France, Delta Airlines, Singapore Airlines
and Varig.
