Copenhagen
is the Capital of Denmark and the largest City in the Country,
home to about 1.1 million residents. The City is situated in the
eastern county of Copenhagen.
The City is believed to have been established about 1,000 years
ago as a small fishing village. Its natural harbor made it an ideal
point for trade ships which resulted in the City’s growth
to become the capital of the Danish Kingdom.

Copenhagen Zoo:
The Zoo was opened in 1859 and has over 250 animal species.
The Zoo is open all year round even on public holidays and is
situated at Roskildevej.
Bakken:
Regarded as the oldest amusement park in the world, Bakken is
a major tourist attraction for the City’s visitors and
locals alike. The park was established in 1583.
Other tourist attractions are; the statue of the little mermaid,
the Rosenberg Castle, Christiansborg Palace, the Tivoli gardens,
Thorvaldsens Museum, Copenhagen Opera House and the Kronberg
Castle.
