Copenhagen
is an important cultural City and has a host of museums showcasing
different aspects of past and present Danish history and culture.
It would take considerable time to comprehensively cover the City’s
museums. There are museums and art galleries to cater for a variety
of personal interests from contemporary art to automobile history.
Some museums:
The Botanical Museum and Library: containing over 2 million
specimens of plant life.
The Copenhagen City Museum: occupying the Royal Shooting Society
Palace, this museum hosts a number of exhibitions and events
that showcase the rich history of the City.
Charlottenborg: a contemporary art museum, the Charlottenborg
hosts a number of exhibitions showing work from local and international
artists.
The Danish School Museum: dedicated to the history and development
of education in the Country since the Middle Ages.
The Dragoer Museum: featuring exhibits on the history of the
Dragoer municipality and shipping.
Other museums to visit are; the Geological Museum, Haderslev
Museum, Louis Tussaud’s Wax Museum and the Museum of
Natural History.
