Transport in Copenhagen:

Copenhagen has a well developed public transport system. The City is comprehensively covered by buses, trains and a fast metro rail system. Taxis are also in plenty and are convenient for short distance travel after hours. Though the City has a good public transport network, considerably high fares have resulted in services not being used to near their full potential. Tickets purchased for a bus or train can be used for either service and each ticket is assigned a time limit depending on the time it was purchased.

Taxis:

There are a number of private taxi and limousine companies in Copenhagen. Taxis in the City are metered and most drivers are multi-lingual and can understand English. You can tell that a cab is available for hire if the roof light is on.

Buses:

Public buses display numbers indicating their respective routes and are yellow in color. For more details on bus timetables in Copenhagen you can visit: http://www.rejseplanen.dk/

Trains:

The S-Trains provide transport within Copenhagen and operate till the wee hours of the morning. The Metro rail system opened in 2002 is a fast underground rail transport that has revolutionized transport within the City.
