Gay & Lesbian Travelers:

Copenhagen has a more liberal society than the rest of the Country and is home to a number of gay and lesbian communities. Denmark was the first Country to legalise same sex marriages. Gay and lesbian activities have become more accepted in the Country and in major cities and towns you can find gay or lesbian night clubs. There are also a number of organizations which promote events and activities for gay and lesbian communities.

Gay and Lesbian Parades:

Danish Wigstock: a drag parade held at Christiania in Copenhagen. The event runs every two years and will be held in August 2006.

Copenhagen Pride: similar to pride festivals held in a number of countries around the world, the Copenhagen Pride is an annual event also held during the month of August. The event features parades through the streets of Copenhagen.
