Denmark
is a small European nation situated to the north of Germany, extending
into the North Sea. The Country is regarded as a Scandinavian Nation
alongside Sweden, Norway, Iceland and Finland. Denmark is a member
of the European Union though it is yet to adopt the Euro as its
currency. Denmark. It is also a member of NATO, having joined the
organization in 1949. Copenhagen is the Capital of Denmark and
the largest City in the Country. Known for being home to the Vikings,
the land of Denmark is believed to be one of the earliest human
settlements in Scandinavia, though first documented mentions of
Denmark appeared in the 9th Century.

Denmark is a constitutional monarchy currently headed by Queen
Margrethe II. The head of Government is the Prime Minister with
legislative elections held every four years. The current Danish
Prime Minister is Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
Economy:
Denmark is a prosperous nation with a thriving economy. The
main industries in the Country are; steel and metal works,
machinery, electronics, construction, ship building and pharmaceuticals.
The Country is also a major exporter of livestock and dairy
products.
The Danish Kroner is the title of the Country’s currency.
Religion:
Christianity is the main religion in the Country and the foremost
denomination is the Evangelical Lutheran.
