Flights to the Faroe Islands:

International flights to the Faroes operate from the Vagar International Airport on the Vagar Island. This is the sole international airport in the Faroes and domestic flights embark from here.

The airport is also the main hub for Atlantic Airways which is the national airline of the Faroes. The airline operates on both domestic and international routes including the cities of: Aalborg, Billund and Copenhagen in Denmark, Reykjavik in Iceland, Oslo and Stavanger in Norway and Aberdeen, London and Shetland in the United Kingdom.

The Vagar Airport:

The Vagar airport is a fairly small airport with one main terminal building. The airport also has a helipad for helicopter flights to and from some of the islands. An airport run shuttle service and public buses provide transport into Vagar town. Taxis are also available. The Hotel Vagar is located within walking distance of the airport.
