There are no clearly defined places to visit and the islands
offer untapped tourist attractions many waiting to be discovered.
Places to visit:
Torshavn: the Capital of the Faroes is the largest urban centre
on the archipelago. Torshavn is an important harbor city with
a modest population of 19,000 residents. The City was established
almost 1,000 years ago and despite its small size, it has a fair
bit of entertainment including cinemas, restaurants, shopping
precincts, sporting and recreational facilities.
Gjovg: a small village, home to less than 100 residents, Gjovg
is also home to the tallest mountain on the Faroes. The village
is situated on the island of Eysturoy.
Mykines: home to a healthy population of Puffins situated at
Mykines-Holmur, Mykines is a small village situated on a small
island with the same name. Mykines-Holmur is reachable from the
island via a small bridge There is a helicopter flight three
times a week from the Vagar Airport to the island.
