Geneva:

The City of Geneva has gained world wide fame for being the headquarters of the Red Cross and branches of the United Nations. The City is one of the largest in Switzerland with a population of about 185,000 residents.

Geneva is situated near the Lake Geneva and is an important cultural and educational city. Notable institutions here are the International School of Geneva and the University of Geneva. A beautiful and relaxed city, Geneva was founded as a Celtic settlement along Lake Geneva around 500 BC.

Transport in Geneva: the city is served by a reliable public transport system which consists of buses and tram cars. There are also rail services linking Geneva to other parts of Switzerland.
