Giant's Causeway:
Giant’ Causeway
is a world heritage site and one of Ireland’s prime tourist
attractions. The Causeway is a wonder of the natural world and
features about 40,000 basalt columns standing up to a height
of 12 meters. Most of the columns are hexagonal in shape though
some
have one or two sides more or less.
The Causeway is situated near the town of Bushmills off the
Irish Sea. Because of its near perfect formation and
magnitude, the site
strengthened the legend of Finn McCool. Finn is a mythical
Irish Warrior. The Causeway is now owned by the National
Trust.
The Causeway is open seven days a week between 10 am and 5 pm.
