Classified
in the Cyclades Group of Islands, Ios is a Greek Island on the
Aegean Sea. The Island has managed to stake its claim on the Greek
tourism industry and despite not having as much history as other
island destinations; Ios has a well developed tourism infrastructure
and is home to a number of good hotels and resorts. There are also
a few restaurants, nightclubs and cafes.
The small town of Chora is the only urban centre on the island
and is home to a number of hotels such as the Hermes Hotel, Ios
Beach Hotel and Island House.
Popular beaches in Ios are; Agia Theodoti, Koubara, Kalamos,
Papa, Mylopotas and Manganari.
