The
Keflavik International Airport is the busiest airport in Iceland
and the main hub for the national airline; IcelandAir. The airport
is located at the town of Keflavik which is about 50 km from the
Capital Reykjavik. The airport was opened in 1943 for use as a
military airbase by American Forces during the 2nd World War. The
airport’s main terminal building (the Leifur Eiriksson) was
opened in April 1987.
Services at the airport: duty free shopping, car hire, a bus
service into Reykjavik, foreign currency exchange, information
desk, taxi rank, restaurants, cafes and emergency medical assistance.

Iceland Express, Swiss International, Spanair, Futura International.
