London City Airport:
The London City Airport is the smallest of the City’s airports and was opened in 1987. The airport is situated about 10 km from the City Centre making it the closest to London. It has steadily developed since its inception and is mainly used for business travel and cargo transportation. The airport has one main passenger terminal building.

Major airlines operating from the airport are; Air France, British Airways, Lufthansa, Swiss International Airways, KLM, Luxair and Air Wales.
Services:
The airport has a range of facilities and services including; shops, restaurants, duty free shops, car hire services, foreign exchange and banking services, pubs, visitor information desk, Wireless Internet capability and a taxi rank on arrival.
To and from the airport:
Only a short distance from the London City centre, there are a number of transport options from the airport including taxi and bus. The new Docklands Light Railway operates from the airport station into the City.
