Luxembourg City:
This clean and beautiful City has a host of attractions for
visitors. The City is home to the Grand Duchy Palace a magnificent
building that is the official residence of the Grand Duke. The
City’s historic old town was declared a world heritage
site by UNESCO in 1994 and has an impressive old fort that is
integral to the history of Luxembourg’s founding. The City
has a number of museums including; the National Museum of Natural
History, the Museum of the History of the City of Luxembourg,
the Post and Telecommunication Museum and Casino Luxembourg.
The Ardennes:
Occupying the northern part of the Country, the Ardennes features
picturesque natural landscapes of the Ardennes mountain ranges
and is home to some beautiful old towns including Vianden and
Clervaux. Major attractions here are; the Bourscheid Castle,
the Brandenbourg Castle, historic monuments, nature parks and
museums. The region is popular for sightseeing and excursions
on foot.
Little Switzerland (Mullerthal): referred to as little Switzerland
for its natural beauty, Mullerthal is also popular for its small
and pleasant towns of; Bech, Berdorf, Grundhof, Echternach, Larochette,
Consdorf, Scheidgen and Rosport, Steinheim.
