Sweden:
The
Kingdom of Sweden is a Scandinavian nation situated in northern
Europe, east of Norway in the Baltic Sea. This prosperous nation
is home to an estimated 9 million people. Sweden is a member
of the European Union though it is yet to adopt the Euro as
its official
currency.
The Country’s stable economy is home to a number
of prominent industries including; food processing, wood and
timber processing, automobiles and precision equipment. Sweden
has one
of the highest living standards in the world. The Country is
ruled by a constitutional monarchy currently under King Carl
XVI Gustaf.
Languages: Swedish is the official and national language, though
a number of small dialects.
Stockholm:
The Capital and largest City of Sweden, Stockholm is a beautiful
city situated at the mouth of Lake Malaren. The City has a population
of about 758,148. Stockholm is also a major financial capital
home to a number of prominent international firms and industries.
The City is also the main tourism domain in Sweden. Stockholm
plays host to millions of visitors each year. The City has a
host of historic buildings, museums, galleries and theatre houses.
Sigtuna: an historic Swedish City that has been in existence
for more than 10 centuries. During its earlier centuries, the
City was the centre of power and government.
